Carthage Auxiliary

The Auxiliary provides refreshments during emergency calls, structure fires, flooding, missing persons or whenever the Carthage Fire Department needs their help. In addition to providing refreshments during crisis times, the Auxiliary works side by side with the fire department during fundraisers and other events. The Auxiliary provides support to our firefighters in time of need.

The members of the Auxiliary work well together and also with the members of the fire department. They recognize their purpose is to be there when the fire department needs them. Members are expected to be outstanding citizens of the community with the willingness to assist at any given time. It is understood that not everyone is available at all times and allowances are made. All member's opinions and ideas are highly valued and the group continually tries to generate new and unique ideas.

Mission Statement

It is the mission of the Carthage-Wilna Fire District and the Carthage Fire Department to provide the highest quality of professional emergency services that are humanly possible. As first responders to fire calls, accidents and public safety issues we strive to protect the lives and property of the residents and visitors of our community.

The fire department holds regular and special training sessions for its members to ensure the safety of each firefighter as well as to provide superior service to the community.
